Cairo – Mubasher: China has agreed to supply Egypt with the needed raw materials for manufacturing 250 million doses of Sinovac vaccine against COVID-19 by 2023.
During a press conference on Wednesday, the Egyptian Minister of Health and Population, Hala Zayed, said that the country provided about 60.5 million doses of AstraZeneca, Sinovac, Sinopharm, Sputnik, Jhonson & Johnson, and Pfizer vaccines, according to a cabinet statement.
A total of 23.376 million doses have been administered to citizens, including 15.13 million in first doses and 8.244 million in second doses.
Since 22 August, a total of 3.3 million state employees, 1.2 million employees in the higher education sector, and 1 million employees in pre-university education have been vaccinated.
